A flamboyant aura of cavernous sounds: E-L-R were conceived by bass-player I.R. and guitarist S.M., who both also took on vocal duties in 2016, Bern (Switzerland). They were soon joined by another friend, drummer M.K., whose emotive and intricate style proved to be the perfect fit. The release of their debut album "Mænad" (2019) was greeted with widespread acclaim by critics and fans alike. Their sophomore album «Vexier» will be released via Prophecy Productions in march 2022.

COLTAINE

Following the haunting beauty of their debut Forgotten Ways, Coltaine return with Brandung – a bold yet organic evolution of their signature sound. Formed in 2022 in the mystic shadows of Germany’s Black Forest, the band continues to dive deeper into the fog-drenched realms of atmospheric psychedelia, post-rock melancholy, and blackgaze intensity. Coltaine's latest offering Brandung finds the German combo swimming in a trance-like state across 9 sombre islands of sorrowful psychedelia. The album showcases the band's taste for purely cinematic and "post" atmospheres where droning acoustic guitars melt gradually into harder, yet graceful electric sections. "Grace" is perhaps the most suitable term to describe the overall sense of soft longing for the unattainable as Julia's vocals paint their way through vast tapestries of sheer melancholia. Brandung opens up its lips just like a clamshell, allowing the listener in for a precious trip to the bottom of Coltaine's contemporary visions.

They don’t make big statements, don’t clown around 24/7 on every social media channel, avoid advertising and any kind of grandstanding, and don’t play randomly at every available outlet. In this day and age, that’s almost unheard of—practically self-sabotage in business terms. And yet, the formation from Tübingen, founded in 2009, is once again on everyone’s lips with each of their albums—always stoically and simply titled with the band’s own name. They command at least respect, and among many fans even an untouchable cult status—not only within the punk (rock) base, but deep into the alternative and metal scenes as well. Big riffs—sometimes epic, sometimes rough-and-ready punk, sometimes driving and catchy, and almost always neck-breaking—along with occasionally dual vocals are the quartet’s core trademarks. Add to that the spartan English lyrics, stripped down to the bare essentials, and a magnetic groove countless other musicians would kill for: HYSTERESE at its very best. With album number five, HYSTERESE plow straight through your hearts once again. As expected, the quartet pushes their melancholic punk rock into its next metamorphosis. Huge melodies ride on roaring, widescreen guitars—sometimes shoegaze, sometimes 80s rock-ism—timeless and full of integrity. And did someone actually say Manilla Road?
